In our anniversary year 2024 – we are celebrating 33 years of BIG – we were represented at our large outdoor booth at RETTmobil in Fulda, one of the leading trade fairs for firefighting technology in Europe.

This year, too, visitor interest in our innovative BIG HP18-iB+ battery-powered fan remained unbroken. The integrated color display with remaining runtime indicator and the extremely long runtime in battery mode set the BIG HP18-iB+ apart from all other battery-powered fans.

With the Grand Mobile Ventilator MGV L125 F3 Action L and the unique electrically powered MGV L80 E11 City mounted on a standard push cart, we demonstrated our wide range of fans for ventilation of emergency and fire scenes and provided many visitors with welcome relief from the summer temperatures.

The world’s leading trade fair Interschutz has always been an important part of our company’s history for 30 years. After six exciting days, our 6th participation came to a successful end.

With consistently sunny and hot weather, we had a very large number of visitors at our booth in the first row of the outdoor area. The focus was on battery driven fan BIG HP18 iB+ and of course the new Mobile Grand Ventilator XP125, which sets standards in terms of performance and flexibility. In addition, we were able to present our visitors a fire engine with a large mobile fan L125 on a MAN chassis, which was completely assembled in-house. BIG offers the complete range of fans and solutions for tactical ventilation, from compact battery driven fans to complete fire-fighting vehicles with large structure fans and all necessary equipment.

With its intelligent battery technology, the HP18 iB+ sets new standards in running time and operation of battery-operated fans.

The first battery driven fan that eliminates the need to replace batteries during operation or to set up a power line! The extreme powerful battery allows ventilation for 85 minutes at full speed, for up to 9 hours at reduced power. Thanks to the intelligent battery technology, the remaining running time is displayed at any time and the output can be adjusted to requirements.

The Xtreme Performance Fan XP 105 is the first hydraulically driven Mobile Grand Ventilator in lightweight construction. The newly developed large fan offers unique flexibility and extreme performance for the tactical ventilation of large-volume objects. The enormous inclination range of + 40 ° to -90 ° even enables vertical ventilation via openings at ground level, such as ventilation shafts and supply ducts. The patented lifting device allows a huge range of operations.

The logical integration of technology into the design of the trailer enables the XP 105 to be built as the first hydraulically driven MGV on an one-axle trailer and the integrated handles on the side allow fire fighters to position the MGV easily by hand. Despite the enormous lifting height, the MGV XP 105 only has a total height of less than 2 m in the transport position and can therefore be brought to the operation site even through low car passages.

The Coupler Set allows to connect two portable smoke blockers and mount them into doors and hallways up to 3 m width.

At many locations, especially in public facilities and industrial buildings, the doors are often very wide or double-wing doors are installed. The mounting of a single portable smoke blocker is then not possible and the spread of smoke cannot be prevented. With the Coupler Set, two portable smoke blockers of all sizes can be quickly and firmly connected. The two elements of the coupler set are simply pressed on. Doors and passages up to 3 m can now be covered with the connected smoke blockers.

Since this summer there is a new version of our thousandfold proven portable smoke blocker. The FIRE SERVICE PRO version is equipped with a special tension rod for frequent use. With the integrated spring mechanism of the tension rod, the PRO version can be pre-tensioned for easier installation in the door frame. Because of the preload, it can be installed in the door frame in seconds. The installation differs from the previous models only in this small step. Otherwise the PRO model does not differ from the established and well-proven portable smoke blocker for fire services.

The anticipation is increasing – the first trade fair for the fire service industry in 2020 is imminent. The FLORIAN 2020 trade fair will take place in Dresden from October 8th to 10th. This year we are represented with our innovative products in outdoor area 4, stand F 48.

Visit to our booth to experience the latest developments in the field of high-performance fans and battery driven fans. We are also presenting a real all-rounder – the 2nd generation of our compact large fan MGV L80 II. We look forward to your visit!

The new smoke ejector BIG SE18-E0 extends the BIG product range by a light and powerful model. Like our high-performance fans, we were able to significantly reduce the weight of the new Smoke Ejector SE18 compared to the previous model and at the same time optimize the performance in suction and pressure mode.

Spiral hoses can be installed directly on the housing with quick-release clamps on both the suction and pressure side without additional accessories. The SE18 is switched on and off via ergonomic pushbuttons with an integrated safety function that prevents the fan from starting unintentionally – as with all BIG high-performance fans with an electric drive.

We participated again in the RETTmobil 2018 in Fulda – the leading European exhibition for rescue and mobility.

The focus in our booth was the mobile grand ventilator MGV L125 FII Task, mounted on a 3,5t-chassis Ford Transit Trend. The construction and assembly of the vehicle body work had been completely realized in our company. This project demonstrates again our extensive capabilities of realizing complete grand ventilators, whether on trailer, swap-body-container or chassis. In addition the visitors showed again great interest in the battery-operated fan BlowHard BH-20. This battery-driven fan, which revolutionized the ventilation of fire-scenes since its market launch in 2010, has proven its sophisticated technology for many years a thousand times around the world. We presented also various portable power blowers, nozzles, portable monitors, the innovative foam-generator-system FlexiFoam and floodlights from our extensive product range.
