Since 1991 BIG has stood for innovative products in fire fighting. BIG did pioneering work in the introduction of positive pressure ventilation with high-performance fans in Europe, a method that was new at the time for rapid smoke extraction, heat control and fresh air supply in fire services. Today, positive pressure ventilation – also known as tactical ventilation – is widespread internationally. Since 1995, BIG has been the world’s first manufacturer to offer a solution for the ventilation of large and complex structures (e.g. underground garages, shopping centers, road tunnels, warehouses and industrial structures) with the Mobile Grand Ventilator (MGV) and stands for outstanding quality “Made in Germany”.
Today we offer one of the most extensive product programs for ventilation for fire services and disaster control. In 2018, our many years of experience flowed into a completely newly developed series of high-performance fans from the BIG brand, which sets standards in ergonomics, weight and flexibility. Our unique foam generator FlexiFoam has a versatility and flexibility that is far superior to conventional lightweight foam generators. The Portable Smoke Blocker, another product from our company, has established itself as a standard in Central Europe and continues its triumphant advance worldwide.
